“What an incredible, artistic, diverse learning environment! Everything important I learned, I learned as a child at the Waldorf School of Garden City. Incredible teachers and staff, they breathe life into every aspect of learning and helping children grow.”

Our School
Our Farm
Welcome to the Waldorf School of Garden City’s Middle School!
We are an independent school with two beautiful campuses: one in the heart of Garden City, New York, and a 250-acre farm in Marlborough, New Hampshire. At the Waldorf School of Garden City, we work hard to deliver the tangible elements of an exceptional educational experience, but what makes our school unique is intangible. Parents and students tell us that they feel a particular kind of energy when they walk through our doors: an openness and warmth that reflects our values and culture.
We invite you to discover what makes the Waldorf School of Garden City so extraordinary: our curriculum; the diversity of our community; and above all, our mission: to shape the minds and the hearts of the people who will change the world.
“This is a place where I realize that I invariably feel better after I have visited, no matter the time of day, year, or situation that I find myself to be there for. After graduating one child already, and two more here now, I feel the Waldorf School of Garden City has prepared and continues to prepare the children in their charge to become engaged and contributing citizens of the world.”
—Current Parent
We are proud of the exceptional education the Waldorf School of Garden City offers. If learning comes naturally to your child, he or she will be challenged to go further; if classroom learning does not come easily, your child will receive support and encouragement. Our faculty is dedicated to creating an environment in which each student’s abilities are understood and needs are met.
We hope that this web site opens up the School for you, so you can learn more about our faculty, our parents, and our alumni. We also strongly encourage you to attend at least one of our Open Houses held throughout the year, along with other events that highlight our activities and programs. You are invited to contact us at any time if you have questions or would like additional information. If there is someone else here at the School who can give you an even fuller answer, we will not hesitate to connect them with you. Finally, nothing replaces an in-person visit to the School. To schedule an individual conversation and tour with a member of our admission staff, please contact us by email or telephone at 516-742-3434 ext 302. We look forward to welcoming you to our School.
