Discover the Waldorf School of Garden City Middle School

Welcome to the Waldorf School of Garden City’s Middle School! We are an independent N-12 school with two beautiful campuses: one in the heart of Garden City, New York, and one on a 250-acre farm in Marlborough, New Hampshire. At the Waldorf School of Garden City, we work hard to deliver the tangible elements of an exceptional educational experience, but what makes our school unique is intangible. Parents and students tell us that they feel a particular kind of energy when they walk through our doors: an openness and warmth that reflects our values and our culture. We invite you to discover what makes the Waldorf School of Garden City so extraordinary: our curriculum; the diversity of our community; and above all, our mission: to shape the minds and the hearts of the young people who will change the world.

We hope you enjoy your online visit; the information you find on our website will provide a window into the life of our School. But to truly appreciate the mentoring relationships our faculty form with our students, the passion we have for teaching and learning, and the depth of inquiry that takes place in our classrooms, you need to experience our School first-hand. We invite you to contact us and arrange a campus visit. Come meet our faculty and students. See for yourself the difference the Waldorf School of Garden City can make for your child.

“A wonderful school with a real and sincere approach to the child as an individual. The teachers are dedicated to their vocation—it is more that just a job. I have been a Waldorf parent for many years, with five children ranging in ages from preschool to high school. My children are happy to be at school every day and are strong in their sense of self. I attribute this in large part to the holistic and comprehensive approach of their Waldorf education. They are challenged by their work and learn in ways that are innovative and thought provoking. I feel lucky to live in close proximity to the Waldorf School of Garden City. It has a rich history, an active and successful alumni network, and a vibrant, caring, and dedicated community of teachers, administrators, students, and parents.” —Current Parent
